The ISM Navigation Auditor course looks at the skills, traits and understanding necessary to audit Navigation against ISM and OCIMF’s MSA.It also looks at best practice of modern navigation, how to gather evidence of compliance, and the process of conducting audits, surveys and inspections. We cross certify to the IMO 1.30 Onboard Assessment traininng and the Level 3 Understanding the Principles and Practice of Assessment

The approved ISM Navigation Auditor course provides a comprehensive understanding of the skills, traits, and expertise required to effectively audit navigation practices in accordance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and the OCIMF’s Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA / OVMSA) guidelines. The course delves into modern navigation best practices, highlighting the principles and techniques essential for evaluating a vessel’s adherence to established safety and operational standards.
Participants will learn how to systematically gather evidence of compliance through practical methods such as document reviews, direct observations, and crew interviews.
