This course is specifically designed for individuals who work closely with children and infants in various professional or caregiving roles. It is particularly relevant to teachers, childminders, crèche assistants, playgroup staff, and anyone who holds responsibility for the safety, well-being, and care of children during their time under supervision. The qualification aims to provide learners with both the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills necessary to confidently and effectively respond to a variety of paediatric first aid scenarios. By completing this course, participants will be equipped to handle emergencies involving young children and infants, ensuring their safety and well-being in critical situations.
This qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
This can be considered to be the required qualification for those whose job role includes working with children; as opposed the the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course for those who may come into contact with children, such as administrative staff, or people working in public venues.
